MCX or Multi Commodity Exchange of India Limited is commodity futures exchange that started operations in November 2003. It is India’s first listed exchange. It offers online trading, clearning and settlement of commodity futures transactions. It is India’s largest commodities exchange with more than 85% of commodity futures trading contracts value. It also ranks third globally among commodity futures exchanges.
MCX offers to its members trading in more than 30 commodity futures like bullion, energy, metala and agricultural commodities. It covers over 1770 cities and towns of India through more than 2100 members and 4,00,000 trading terminals. It has tied up with various global exchanges, trade bodies, educational institutes and corporates to improve trade practices and commodity futures market.
